Wondering if my fitness classes are right for PRE OR POST NATAL YOU?
Frequently Asked Questions
How soon AFTER GIVING BIRTH can I start training?
You can start training after you have been cleared by your healthcare provider. This is usually 6 weeks after vaginal delivery or 8-10 weeks after a c-section.
Can I bring my baby TO YOUR CLASSES?
Yes, of course. There is loads of room and mats for babies and buggies. If you need to take some time out to feed, soothe or change a nappy, that’s OK. Just remember the focus of the class is you the Mammy!
The classes are always tailored to your individual ability and energy levels. We always start with the connection breath, reinforcing the relationship between the diaphragm and pelvic floor. We then focus on some mobility and stretches to loosen up the tight areas from breast feeding, sleeping, etc. There is some strength work involved with kettlebells, dumbells, barbells or bodyweight. The second part of the class works on low impact conditioning and is the cardio component. We finish on a stretch and chats.
What do the classES entail?
Should I go to a pelvic health physio BEFORE STARTING TRAINING?
For a whole picture of your body post patrum, I recommend a visit to a pelvic health physio therapist. They can identify any issues and help to guide you in your return to training.
